QRIN Guide
Build QR codes that scan cleanly and carry the right payload.
QR codes are useful only when the encoded payload matches the user's intent and remains readable in the place where it is scanned. Use these notes before printing, posting, or sharing generated codes.
Choose the right QR type
Use URL for web pages, WiFi for network access, WhatsApp for a prefilled chat link, email for a draft message, vCard for contact sharing, and event for calendar imports. Text is best for short labels, instructions, IDs, or offline notes.
Check payload accuracy
Review the payload field before downloading. For URLs, confirm the protocol and destination. For contact and calendar codes, scan a test code and verify that the receiving app imports the same name, phone number, email, date, time, and title that you entered.
Keep codes readable
Dark foreground on a light background is usually safest. Keep enough quiet space around the code, avoid glossy or wrinkled print surfaces, and keep decorative logos small. If a logo is used, choose Q or H error correction and test the result on more than one camera app.
Privacy note
QRIN's current app generates QR codes in the browser. The site does not need to store your pasted text, WiFi password, contact data, calendar details, or uploaded logo. Production analytics and advertising, if added later, must avoid collecting QR payload content.
